The People’s Champ

“The Champ is here, The Champ is here”

Champion: a person who vigorously supports or defends a person or cause

Synonyms: advocate, torch-bearer, standard-bearer, defender, protector

You are our champion. God appointed, God annointed for such a  time as this.

There is so much that you bear that no one else sees. You know; I’ve tried writing about you a thousand times, but my words fail me.

Words cannot contain the light that emanates, that radiates from you.

You shine 

Bright like a billion starlit skies. Carrying something of God wherever you go.

You blaze a trail in this world. A trail of souls who by your light have seen Jesus.

Never standing in the way of Our Father. Always playing the background because you know who deserves centre stage.

Sacrifice

We will never be able to count the cost for you. Many may never even notice.

But you take these things in your stride, eyes always focused on higher things. On them.

Normalcy is a luxury never afforded to you. Always standing out from the crowd. Your own two feet and God’s hand on which you stand: your only support. 

Shoulders square, chest out, eyes up!

You were born ready

In the womb He knit you together. With a beaming smile on His face and so much Love radiating from His heart: His face shone when He made you. And then He cried condensed tears of pure light at the burden you would carry. Those tears washed your face and so; still you shine. He placed you quietly in your mother’s womb

“The People’s Champ must be everything the people can’t be”

Chance was right. Isn’t it funny how he didn’t even know: he was writing about You. 

This poem was written for My Same and is a glimpse in to God’s heart for an amazing daughter. As you read it remember that Gods heart towards you is the same. You are His Champion
