I wasn't yet an adult when I wrote this, but young me had some things to say that older me should probably remember.
Look up
I seem to be drenched in so much misery. Happily swimming in a sea of negativity. In the world that we live in it's easy to find, something to complain about be it corruption or crime.
It's so easy to give up, to give in and let go. It's so easy to pass the blame and welcome the sorrow.
I do it everyday when the world weighs me down.
And I sulk and I sigh wearing my biggest frown.
But if I just looked up instead of hanging my head low.
I would see the beautiful sky lit up by the suns glow.
And if I opened my eyes to the beauty surrounding me.
I would see the wonder of God in the birds and the bees.
Like a baby girl seeing it all for the first time,
we should appreciate this world even the obstacles we climb.
For if we concentrate only on the stones in our way.
We will miss out on the glorious view that He made!
