Sunday Sessions #8

So todays poems ( yes you get 2 today!) are to show contrast. I usually write in one mood because writing has always been one of the ways I deal with pain. Today I wanted to show that there is more than one side to me. Also I just want to thank you for reading this, sharing my writing is like sharing my soul. I have difficulty being vulnerable so to know someone takes the time means a lot. Happy reading. Tell me what it makes you feel, will you?

Shattered

I get so tired. 

Like my essence is drained out of me. 

And I'm left an empty shell. 

What use is an empty shell but to look pretty on display. 

Play your part they say. 

I guess then that this is my role; The beaten. Broken. Bruised character. Pain does something to a person. Changes you in some way. 

Moulds you, but too much moulding and the pot looses shape. 

Deformed. 

No longer recognisable. 

I don't see Me in the mirror. No. It's a lesser being. 

Diminished. 

Like small pieces of broken glass. 

A crack left too long without being fixed. Shattered 

Inspired

My mind BURSTS... My heart SINGS.... My soul SMILES scrambling around trying to find pen and paper These words are blood pumping through my veins They're a quietly exhaled breath an earth shattering scream Creativity cannot be kept inside, It's meant to be released And I want the world to see the beauty of words strung together the melody of every moment the joy of rhythm the picturesque dance of life I want to be a part of it, slap. bam. in the thick of it I want to share: love, happiness, heartache, pain Being stagnant is not what God put me on this earth for Passion boils inside of me, melting away the hardness of this world I want us to be quiet together and listen for the voice of God I want to find my purpose. I want to inspire others to find theirs. There's a new lease on life.. If you want it.. all you have to do is grab it Taste it, feel it, see it, smell it Let the Holy Spirit move you and you will find there's nowhere you cannot go Nothing you cannot achieve Take life by the reigns, let God steer you on your way All you have to do is take the first step and get on your knees Pray
