So this next poem is once again something I wrote. Back in 2012 I attended a young adults camp that basically changed my life. I was introduced to the Holy Spirit. My mindset changed in those 3 days. This poem was inspired by the Pastor explaining to us how a Hebrew wedding/marriage worked and therefore giving a deeper understand when we The Church are called the Bride of Christ. This poem serves as a reminder of who we are and I think out of that flows the posture of our hearts

A Royal Wedding
Do you know how a Hebrew man courts his wife? He sets before her a plan, a covenant for life No not a set of rules but in written words an engagement and she has the choice whether to accept the arrangement Then he goes out to prepare for them a perfect place in which they will dwell for their everlasting days After all this, not himself, but the Father must approve that this home, this sanctuary, is fit for the two When he is ready, he does not simply just snatch away his bride Instead he comes shouting in praise with joy deep inside You see the husband is Jesus, the bride, us, the Church The covenant- The Bible: tells us what we are worth and He has gone before us preparing a heavenly home as we meditate on the Word, as we await the Throne And so we receive the Father's glorious blessing the Heaven's, they're singing of this Royal Wedding
Tell me what you think?
